The ADAPT NI ARTitude exhibition aims to create positive attitudes for people with a disability as well as promoting equality within society. The festival will focus around the theme of ‘Me and my Friend’ and students will be submitting work that presents how people with or without disabilities are both similar and different.

The event is being running in association with Haberton School and along with the art on display the festival will also include drama performances and a showcase of films submitted by budding directors.

ADAPT is an organisation that works on promoting equal access for people with disabilities to all types of art venues as well places like libraries, community centres and museums. The show is a way to raise awareness in people from an early age and aims to build a sense of understanding in young people.

Students and visitors will be making their way to the concourse of the Belfast Waterfront centre from Belfast hotels between 28th March to 22nd April 2011 when the show takes place and admission is free for all attendees.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "Many people are expected to see the show and a majority of whom will be using hotels in the area. For convenience visitors can book nearby hotels online and save any complications that may arise from lack of availability."
