A UK-produced TV series about caravanning, motorhomes and camping is achieving results and planning to grow.
[ClickPress, Mon May 07 2007] The Caravan Channel, the UK and Europe's only continuously produced TV programme about caravanning, motorhomes and camping, is reaching new records and new record audiences.
The show's Programme 14, which premieres on Information TV, Sky channel 181, on 23rd May, means that producer Chris Gosling has made 7 hours of TV since the show first started in autum of 2006.
This is more than double the time that any previous TV series dealing with caravnning, motorhoming and camping has show, and unlike previous series, The Caravan Channel is always up to date - shows are recorded and completed usually within a week of their first on-air appearance.
And the producer plans to continue regular production into the foreseeable future. "As a one-man band producing programmes about an absorbing activity, I don't find it too difficult," says Gosling. "There are stacks of news stories, events, and other items to report on, and we also keep a close watch on new product developments from major manufacturers - although they at times have some trouble realising how quickly TV works."
Gosling plans to add extra time onto the programme's 4-times weekly showing schedule on Sky 181; "We'll be moving to a new, one-hour format inside a few weeks, which will give all kinds of opportunities to develop our programmes. We're also now taking on additional people to provide more depth and coverage to our programme production and business activities - which will result in still more interesting programmes for carvanners, motorhome users and campers across the UK and Europe!"
