Head of Global Whale Protection kicks off a Cross-Country Awareness Campaign to Stop Commercial Whaling!

[ClickPress, Mon May 07 2007] UPDATE: Head of Global Whale Protection for THE INTERNATIONAL FUND FOR ANIMAL WELFARE (IFAW) kicks off a Cross-Country Awareness Campaign to Stop Commercial Whaling!

The cause of whale protection has never been more urgent. Worldwide, whales face more threats than ever before, ranging from habitat destruction, to global warming, to efforts by Japan, Norway and Iceland to expand commercial whaling and reopen the international trade of whale meat.

During this webcast, international global whale conservation expert Patrick Ramage will be available LIVE from the tarmac of Hyannis Airport, where the “whale plane” will be preparing for a cross country excursion. He will discuss IFAW’s efforts to save the whales, what people at home can do and answer questions from webcast viewers.
