New Release of Spam Scrubbing Service Allows Choice of Domain Level or User Level Quarantine

Alpha NetSolutions, Inc. has announced the upcoming release of SpamAnswer v.2.0 email scrubbing service, which will allow small business clients to choose to either quarantine their mail for their whole domain, or to quarantine at the user level.

[ClickPress, Sat May 12 2007] To give clients more choice in how their spam is handled, Alpha NetSolutions is adding an optional user-level quarantine process to their existing SpamAnswer Spam Scrubbing Service.

Spam remains a major annoyance to most small and mid-tier businesses. Scrubbing spam remains half science and half art, and it's still important for companies to review their quarantines to ensure that valid mail isn't being misidentified as spam by their anti spam system.

"For many of our small business clients, a domain-level quarantine has been preferred, as it allows a single administrator to monitor the quarantine for mis-flagged emails," said Tim Shea, CEO of Alpha NetSolutions. "But a number of our clients process a tremendous amount of email, and would prefer to delegate quarantine monitoring to their individual users".

The new quarantine process is fully automated, creating the user quarantine mailboxes and sending instructions to the new user automatically, so no additional administrative tasks are created by the new system. User quarantines are available for review via a browser-based mail client, or can be accessed via IMAP4 for review from the users' main mail client.

SpamAnswer will still be offered with a domain-level quarantine, for those clients who prefer having a single administrator monitoring the quarantined mail messages.

Unlike desktop or server-based spam software, SpamAnswer is a service, and helps by scrubbing a client's email for viruses and spam BEFORE it even enters the client's network. This reduces the impact spam has on the client's Internet connection, mail server, and IT staff.

SpamAnswer works with all corporate mail servers, firewalls, operating systems, and mail clients.
