The recitals are all part of Interlaken Classics, Switzerland’s longest running classical music series. The concerts will run on various nights starting on 26th March and running up until 23rd April 2011. Featured acts included the multi talented stars that make up the European Union Youth Orchestra as well as the collective talents of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra.

To add to the youth comes experience in the form of premier singer Thomas Hampson and the baritone will be performing a number of songs with the orchestras as well as work from his new album. There to steady the ship is the expertise of Philippe Jordan who will be conducting and taking a short break before going back to work with the Paris Opera and his new position as music director.

During the festival musicians taking part can also get the chance to work with professionals in certain instruments as the likes of Zakhar Bron and David Geringas will be conducting master classes in the violin and cello. All the events are being held within the Interlaken Casino Kursaal and this is set to increase demand for a hotel Interlaken over the month that the concerts run.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "Hundreds of classical music fans will be arriving on each evening and this will in turn influence the availability of hotels. People should check online to find places and be sure of getting the best rates."
