CUSAT Common Admission Test 2011 stands for the entry requirement needed to be gained to earn a place at Cochin University of Science and Technology. The exam is being held on 2nd April 2011 and as part of the test participants will have to sit an hour and half exam on mathematics from 09:30 to 11:00. Students are then given a 15 minute break before sitting down to the next session from 11:15 to 12:45 which will present problems related to physics and chemistry.

Cochin is recognised by the government of India for its academic results and excellent facilities and many graduating students go on to receive placements at the university’s partner companies. The university offers a range of courses for people including civil engineering, computer science, electronics and communication and information technology. For students wanting a career in the services, courses on naval architecture and the construction of ships are also offered with placements available at the Indian navy.

Many students are expected to turn up to sit the exam which is going to lead to difficulties finding Kochi Airport hotels as more people fly in for the event.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "The university sees many people from outside the region attending so students coming for the exam will be booking hotels and this is likely to lead to unavailability at places by the airport."
