DirectRooms.com – Munich hosts e-Freight 2011 International Conference on Paperless Freight Transpor

DirectRooms.com can announce that the International Conference on Paperless Freight Transport Logistics will take place 10-11th May 2011 in Munich, Germany. The conference will be held at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre, with transportLogistic accessible via the East and West Entrances.

[ClickPress, Wed Mar 16 2011] The conference welcomes submissions of original, previously unpublished research, or application papers under the following topics: ‘Green’ technologies and e-freight, e-freight interoperability standards, ICT for e-freight, domain models, ontologies, and standardization in e-freight. Also tracking and monitoring technologies, systems and technologies for e-freight, knowledge sharing across business networks, business process engineering in co-modal transport networks, and information acquisition and fusion in supply chain security.

Electronic information exchange in transport is a global issue that the conference will focus on. A scientific committee will review abstracts and papers. Selection for presentation and publication will be made on scientific merit and innovation potential. Selected papers will be published in a special issue on technologies and applications for e-freight in the Journal of Applied Logistics.

Guests of Munich Airport hotels will be located conveniently to the Paperless Freight Transport Logistics Conference and primed to participate in the important discussions surrounding issues of global importance.

There will be a conference reception and dinner on the evening of 10th May 2011. Full details will be sent to attendees upon completion of registration. The registration fee is £110 per person.
