Which? says Global Max broadband is best buy

Which? broadband survey

[ClickPress, Wed May 30 2007] Broadband comparison site Broadband Genie says it’s surprised to see little-known broadband provider Global Internet rated as a Which? best buy.

Global Max Broadband came out on top when Which? surveyed 11,000 members about broadband use and asked them to rate the provider they used. Global’s broadband packages start at £19.99 a month for an 8Mbps capped service but are only available on a 12 month contract.

Which? best buys have to do very well for overall satisfaction, customer service, ease of set-up, connection speed, reliability and technical support.
Other providers that came out well in the survey include Waitrose Broadband, Zen and Metronet. Bulldog, on the other hand, only had 5% satisfied customers leading researchers to advise customers to steer clear of this provider. Big names AOL, Orange, Sky and TalkTalk also failed to impress users and scored low on customer satisfaction.

Broadband Genie CEO Philip Wilkinson says: “It’s interesting to see that Global Max Broadband topped the Which? survey as this company isn’t widely known. Big providers such as Orange and Sky lagged behind in terms of customer satisfaction so this is more evidence that these firms would be well advised to pay more attention to customer satisfaction, and less on advertising until they get a more respectable reputation for customer service.”
