Retailer increases floor space by 50% with Displaysense
Displaysense, the UK's leading shop fittings supplier, has helped one of its customers increase its retail display space by more than 50 per cent.

Steve Whittle, marketing director at Displaysense, reveals that the firm's wide range of products, combined with the expert knowledge of its customer service team, made a big difference to the project.
"Although our core business is supplying shop fittings, our experienced customer services team have a wealth of product knowledge and can really help retailers to make the most of their shop floor space," he comments.
In this particular example, it was a fashion retailer that called on Displaysense for assistance with maximising its retail space.
The company supplied wall-mounted clothes rails to replace the old, freestanding clothes racks from the shop floor and the customer was able to move the garments to the unused space on the walls.
Making this simple change resulted in a significant improvement to the store, Mr Whittle points out.
"The customer was using some floor-standing rails that are very effective for selling clothing, but these are generally more effective in larger stores.
"A wall-mounted clothes rail has two key advantages - as well as freeing up space on the shop floor, which improves visibility of the products and the general look and feel of the store, the retailer is now able to display more clothes than was possible before," he states.
Mr Whittle adds that there are a host of options that can be tailored to meet each retailer's specific needs.
For example, a fashion shop with limited floor space but plenty of room for storage may find that mannequins are an excellent way to highlight outfits, without the need for shelving that could encroach on the store, he suggests.
But Mr Whittle acknowledges that finding the best way to utilise the space in a store can be one of the biggest challenges for retailers.
"The temptation is to fill all the available space with shelving, but this can have a negative impact on customers' shopping experience by restricting the room they have to move in and browse comfortably.
"We stock a wide range of products that are designed to increase display space while keeping the shop floor as clear as possible," he explains.
And Mr Whittle stresses that making alterations to shop displays can do far more for a business than just provide some additional space on the shop floor.
