[ClickPress, Thu Jun 07 2007] Proxibid, a premier provider of live auction broadcasting services, today announced that one of the largest sales in the history of Greg Martin Auctions will be available for live Internet bidding on its Web site, www.proxibid.com/gregmartin. The live auction event will take place over three days, from June 18-20, at the Greg Martin Auctions Gallery in San Francisco.

More than 2,200 lots of antique arms, ammunition, memorabilia and accessories will be available during the auction. This auction is one of the largest sales Greg Martin Auctions has hosted in its five year history, and all of the lots will be available for online bidding. Some of the items available are from the collection of a Northern California enthusiast who purchased the items in the 1970s and 1980s. They have not been in the public domain since, and are generating much excitement in the marketplace.

“Buyers simply cannot beat the quality of the items available at this auction,” said Greg Martin of Greg Martin Auctions. “Because some of these pieces haven’t been on the auction stage for decades, the buzz around the event is huge. Live Internet bidding provides avid collectors from across the globe the opportunity to acquire one of the rare pieces available, without having to be present at the live event.”

Highlights for this auction include:
• Lot 949: Rare and Exceptional Original Civil War Presentation Artillery Snare Drum Presented to 15-Year-Old Drummer Boy George L. Miller, 14th Massachusetts Heavy Artillery.
