Cape Fear Players to Perform on Broadway

Cape Fear High School Players will be performing at the National Performing Arts Festival in New York City on March 31 and April 1. The festival features some of the nation’s top high school and middle school acting troupes performing selections for a panel of theater experts.

[ClickPress, Tue Jun 19 2007] Cape Fear High School Players will be performing at the National Performing Arts Festival in New York City on March 31 and April 1. The festival features some of the nation’s top high school and middle school acting troupes performing selections for a panel of theater experts. Following their performance the Cape Fear drama troupe will attend a private, interactive feedback clinic. A special awards ceremony recognizing the top performing groups and actors will be held on April 1st.

During the festival each theater troupe will also participate in educational seminars on topics such as audition techniques, stage movement, and vocal training. The seminars are taught by New York theater professionals.

Cape Fear Players are under the direction of Andrea Holmes. During the festival they will be presenting “Beauty and the Beast”, the classic romance story adapted from the Disney animated film.
