Vish Rao joins eSys to concentrate on developing UK business through partners and reseller channel
[ClickPress, Mon Jun 25 2007] eSys Technologies, one of the global leaders in technology distribution and a fast growing PC manufacturer, has today announced the appointment of Vish Rao who joins as UK Country Manager.
Supporting the company's bid to attain an EMEA turnover of USD 1 billion, Vish brings a wealth of global industry experience, having worked in Asia and the UK. His experience has been in driving the business for large broadline distributors, notably with vendors such as Microsoft, HP and IBM.
As well as continuing to expand eSys’s product portfolio in the UK and across Europe, Vish’s focus is to continue to increase UK channel penetration, by addressing a wider segment of the market, including small and medium independent partners.
In the UK, eSys is firmly entrenched in two business lines: one, as a distributor of choice for PC components (hard disks, printers, monitors) and entertainment electronics (mp3 players, LCD TVs) and secondly, as a PC manufacturer. eSys’s key strengths are low-cost manufacturing complemented by speedy and efficient logistics, which are critical in today’s changing environment.
Nigel Edwards, who was recently appointed as Vice President of EMEA, comments: “Its great to have Vish on board in the UK. His appointment underlines our commitment to the UK and intention to focus on new products and brands to build the business moving forward.”
