Public can participate in star-studded O2 Silver Clef Lunch/Benefit Auction for first time June 29 v

The 32nd annual O2 Silver Clef Lunch, a prestigious and star-studded charity event, will take place at London’s Park Lane Hilton on June 29, organizers announced today.

[ClickPress, Tue Jun 26 2007] The 32nd annual O2 Silver Clef Lunch, a prestigious and star-studded charity event, will take place at London’s Park Lane Hilton on June 29, organizers announced today. During the lunch, the U.K. music industry will come together to recognize outstanding achievers and also raise essential funds for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, a charity strongly supported by British recording artists. This year the fundraiser – an auction that was previously a private event – will be accessible to the public for the very first time, online via www.LiveAuctioneers.com.

"With a worthy charity event like the Silver Clef Lunch, the purpose goes beyond simply raising money for a good cause," said LiveAuctioneers.com CEO Julian R. Ellison. "It's critical to spread the word about this fantastic charity. There is no more powerful way to do that than through the associated efforts of LiveAuctioneers and eBay Live Auctions, and we are delighted to be able to offer our services."

Nordoff-Robbins is a registered charity and the largest supplier of music therapy in the United Kingdom, providing over 30,000 sessions each year to help improve the quality of life for children and adults who have been isolated by disability, trauma or illness. The annual O2 Silver Clef Lunch, which began in 1975, is now the jewel in Nordoff-Robbins’ fund-raising crown and a highlight of the music industry’s calendar. Sponsored by the London events arena O2 for the past six years, last year’s auction raised nearly $1 million.

In past years, only paying guests have been able to bid on the range of unique music memorabilia auctioned at the Silver Clef luncheon in aid of Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy. Now, thanks to www.liveauctioneers.com, anyone with access to the Internet can bid on unique pieces of music history, including:

• Signed, hand-written lyrics to the 2005 James Blunt single You’re Beautiful. This song rose to no.1 in the United Kingdom and the United States.

• Signed and framed rhinestone jacket by Matthew Williamson made especially for the queen of pop herself, Madonna, who wore it on her recent worldwide promotional tour for the Confessions on a Dance Floor album. It has been signed "Love Madonna."

• A Raymond Weil wristwatch co-designed by British soul sensation Lemar and from the Swiss firm’s Don Giovanni Collection. Lemar selected an 18-karat, pink-gold rectangular case set with 320 yellow diamonds and a black mother-of-pearl dial, emblazoned with diamonds, sapphires, emeralds and a ruby. The watch is set with a sparkling total of 671 diamonds and precious stones, and has a 47-ruby rotor that ensures the movement’s precision and resilience.

• A unique Led Zeppelin guitar featuring original artwork from the album Led Zeppelin I that has been signed by the three remaining members of the band – Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.

• Take That’s “Beautiful World” tour will start in early October. This prize consists of two tickets to their London date plus an exclusive meet and greet with this renowned boy band.

• Two tickets to see the phenomenal Scissor Sisters live at the new O2 and meet the band. This prize also includes an overnight stay in five-star luxury at St. Martins Lane Hotel and dinner at top London seafood restaurant J Sheekey.

• A behind-the-scenes live-music experience for four people. Filmed without an audience at the world-famous studios of the same name, an exclusive viewing of Live From Abbey Road is an exceptionally rare opportunity for the winners.

Preview the lots to be auctioned or leave absentee bids online at www.liveauctioneers.com. On June 29, bid live as the auction is taking place, also through www.liveauctioneers.com.
