Supporting “Cancer Research - Race for Life”

The Pectel Group supported four of its staff at the Cancer Research UK Race for Life event in Basildon at Gloucester Park on 10th June helping to raise money to continue research into cancer

[ClickPress, Tue Jul 03 2007] The Pectel Group supported four of its staff at the Cancer Research UK Race for Life event in Basildon at Gloucester Park on 10th June helping to raise money to continue research into cancer

Teresa Drinkwater, Procurement Advisor for Pectel Group, successfully beat Breast Cancer last year and really wanted to show her support and appreciation to the Cancer Charity, who undertake such marvellous research and give support to others in similar situations to herself.

Teresa participated in this sponsored event with the support of her colleagues and two friends; Claire Turner, Stephanie Frost, Joanne Bird, Michelle Brown and Kim Webster. Between them they have raised nearly £3000 in kind donations from colleagues, friends and family. Teresa says, "I am so pleased with the support we have received, it has really made the training worth while and we all finished the race in our target time of less than 60 minutes".

The Pectel Group was fully behind their staff and Commercial Director, Lee Brown whose wife also participated said, "After all the hard work and training they have put in I am really proud of all the support (and donations) they received, – they all know what a great job the charity does and put all their heart and effort into the day.”
