The 802.11b/g broadband wireless router can be set up in minutes allowing users to share their Internet connection, files, digital music, printers, and hard drives from anywhere in the wireless range or by wired Ethernet connectivity that is provided by one of the 4 ports on the back of the wireless NET-EL-ESR-1220 router.
The EnGenius NET-EL-ESR-1220 really allows cable broadband customers to make the best use of their broadband service. The inbuilt wireless access point enables 802.11b/g devices to be connected to the network. Whilst at the same time, the built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 switch can connect wired-Ethernet devices. Four PCs can be connected directly, or daisy-chain out to more hubs and switches to create as big a network as required. The router functionality ties it all together and lets the whole network share a high-speed broadband connection.
To protect your data and privacy, the EnGenius NET-EL-ESR-1220 can encrypt all wireless transmissions. It supports VPN pass-through, and can be configured to filter internal users' access to the Internet. WLAN-to-WAN access control is also available to prevent users from access to unwanted content.
