Fashion Jam ’07 Announces Star-Studded Line Up

Stars come out at Staten Island Mall event on Saturday, September 15, 2006

[ClickPress, Fri Jul 13 2007] The Staten Island Mall is pleased to announce the musical line up for Fashion Jam ’07 at the Staten Island Mall, 2655 Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY on Saturday, September 15, 2007. Featuring stars who are staples on New York area Rhythmic and Top 40 radio stations and one of New Jersey’s brightest up and coming singer-songwriters, Fashion Jam ’07 promises to be the biggest and best event in the series’ history.

American Idol Songwriting Competition finalist Byron Zanos hails from Fort Lee, NJ. His song “Secrets and Lies” (co-written with Drew Yowell) was a Top 20 finalist in the wildly popular show’s inaugural contest, received an Honorable Mention in the Billboard World Song Contest, and was a finalist in the International Song Competition. “Pandora’s Box,” the opening cut from his debut CD Somewhere in the Middle, won a Silver Medal in the Pop category of the Annual Mid Atlantic Songwriting Contest. Zanos’ sophomore release Still in a Fight will be released this summer. Fans of Aerosmith, Taylor Hicks, Meat Loaf and more will have the chance to see Zanos preview his new CD live on the WaMu stage at Long Island’s legendary Jones Beach Theatre. Zanos is excited to return to the Staten Island Mall for his third Fashion Jam.

Known to audiences for her 2004 Billboard smash “Where Love Is” and her recent hit “Let’s Get On One Accord,” Revi has been performing live since she was eight years old. Tri-State area residents may remember her singing the National Anthem at New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Eagles games before she became a nightclub sensation. Revi is also a return performer to Fashion Jam.

Former Star Search contestant Danielle Bollinger ‘s dance anthem “When the Broken Hearted Love Again” spent 17 weeks near the top of the Billboard dance charts and was the number one song on XM Satellite Radio’s dance channel. Her single “Kiss the Sky” boasts a Madonna influence and an intoxicating beat.

Vic Latino is beloved by Tri-State area audiences from his successful stint on WKTU FM. His current compilation CD Vic Latino Presents Thrive Mix 3 is his sixth release. All of Latino’s mix CDs have reached Top 5 on the Billboard Dance/Electronica chart. He has appeared on Ellen, Growing Up Gotti, and has hosted the National Puerto Rican Day Parade on the major television networks.

Known as ‘The Bad Boy of Dance,’ Lucas Prata’s single “And She Said…(Y Dices)” has been released as a club mix, a pop mix, a Spanish mix, a Spanglish mix, and even a Reggaeton version to satisfy his rabid and diverse fan base. His other hits include “And She Said,” “Let’s Get It On,” “Wanna Get Witcha,” and “I Think I’m Falling In Love.” Prata, a Queens, New York native, has been featured on the Today Show, CNN Best of the Web 2005, Good Morning America, and in the New York Times, and Billboard magazine. Most recently, Prata’s music was heard on the Fox TV smash So You Think You Can Dance.

From her appearance on Live With Regis and Kelly to her hit singles “Find Another Woman,” “Anything For Love,” “Gotta Love For You,” “No One’s Gonna Change You” and “If I Close My Eyes,” Reina, which means Queen in Spanish, is known and loved by music fans everywhere, especially by those in the tri-state area. Reina’s hits are heard on local radio stations WKTU, Z100, WDRE, WBLI, WNEW, and satellite stations Sirius and XM. The Bronx born star, dubbed “this generation’s Donna Summer” by television legend Regis Philbin, says, “Whenever I sing, I’m touched by the response of my audience. I’ve watched them be moved from laughter to tears” Like fellow performer Byron Zanos, Reina is excited to return to Staten Island Mall for her third Fashion Jam.

Amuka aka Sheila Brody was discovered by funk legend George Clinton (Parliament Funkadelic). Her single “Appreciate Me” was a staple on Rhythmic and Top 40 radio. This will be Amuka’s first appearance at Fashion Jam.
Staten Island Mall’s Fashion Jam is a much-anticipated annual event. “We’re outdoing ourselves from last year’s show with more music, more fashions, and more giveaways,” reveals David Albertson, Staten Island Mall Marketing Manager. “Shoppers will be in fashion heaven as they spend a stylish afternoon seeing our stores’ latest trends and soaking up the sounds of the best musical entertainment available.”

The Staten Island Mall, your guide to style, is excited to welcome Byron Zanos, Reina, Revi, Danielle Bollinger, Lucas Prata, Vic Latino, and Amuka to Fashion Jam ‘07. Visit www.statenisland-mall.com for the latest information.
