Sonny Burgess Gives Fans and Radio "Cowboy Cool"

Sonny wrote the song for eight-time World Champion calf and steer roper, Roy Cooper. In turn, Roy selected the song to be included on the DVD documenting his life and times entitled "Roping My Dreams: My Love, Passion, Body & Soul." "Cowboy Cool" will hit radio via CD Tex August Volume 57. "Texas giants like Bob Wills, Ray Price, Willie Nelson, and George Strait have built dynasties in this state and I hope somewhere down the road, my name is similarly related to great Texas country music", Burgess said commenting on his career endeavors. As one fan commented, "Sonny Burgess is the Modern Day Prince of Texas honky tonks". That fan should know, it was Texas' own John Rich of duo fame, Big and Rich.
