Trident announce the introduction of the world's smallest Mainboard from VIA. The VIA EPIA PX provides a full complement of multimedia and connectivity options on a platform smaller than any standard mainboard or x86 system on module.

The tiny 10cm x 7.2cm complete PC platform fits into the palm of your hand and is over 75% smaller than the Mini-ITX (17cm x 17cm). Designed for ultra compact embedded PC systems and appliances, the Pico ITX is also perfect for digital signage, thin client, kiosks and set top boxes.

The PX Pico-ITX mainboard is primarily designed to be powered by one of VIA’s energy efficient processor solutions such as the VIA C7, which is also pin for pin compatible with the VIA Eden processor. These are both in a 21mm x 21mm nanoBGA2 package, and combine feature-rich VIA system media processors to enable the board to pack a performance punch in a compact, low heat, low power package.

The design also features one SO-DIMM slot, a combination of IDE and SATA connectors, 10/100Mbps Ethernet and onboard sound is Sound Blaster Pro-compatible including a 7.1 channel audio codec.
