[ClickPress, Tue Jul 31 2007] The Henry Council for Quality Growth will host its annual gala, a black and white themed party Aug. 25 at Eagle’s Landing Country Club. The public is invited to attend the event which is described by many as the “party of the year.”
The event, which is in its fifth year, raises money to support the Council’s goals of promoting long range planning and adequate delivery of government services for all citizens, serving as a catalyst for consensus on growth issues and providing a forum for discussion of responsible development, and economic or technical expertise.
“This is the Council’s only fundraiser, and it provides the funds needed for the Council to fulfill its mission,” said Steve Cash, executive director of the Council. “The gala also provides an excellent opportunity for both council and community members to come together to share an evening of great fun, food, music and dancing. This event is the highlight of our year.”
The gala will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a silent auction. A live auction, dinner and dancing will begin at 8:15. Upscale, unique packages available for bid at auction will include items such as a golf membership to Eagle’s Landing Country Club, a tailgate party for 50, jewelry, a mini-vacation to Kiawah Island, SC, and an autographed University of Georgia football. Tickets are $135 per person and a portion of the proceeds will go to a local charity. Entertainment will be provided by The Headliners out of Hilton Head, S.C., one of the most requested bands in the Southeast. Attendees are encouraged to wear black and white party attire to complement with this year’s black and white theme. Each year’s event is themed and past galas, which have been attended by up to 300 individuals, have included festive decade themes such as the 1920s, 1950s and 1970s.
Sponsorships starting at $1,000 are available for the event and sponsors will receive gala tickets and be mentioned in the event program, on event signage, in upcoming luncheon programs and press releases and on the Council’s Web site. Confirmed sponsors as of this writing include 3-D Construction Company, Allan Vigil Ford, Apple Realty, Burton, Davis & Associates/Georgian Gallery, Commercial Assets Group, Crystal Lake Realty,
