BPA GAINS UFI ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP TO PROMOTE HIGHEST STANDARDS
Not-for-profit organization, BPA Worldwide’s status as an international provider of exhibition and event auditing services has been underlined by its acceptance as a sister association to UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry.
[ClickPress, Wed Aug 01 2007] Not-for-profit organization, BPA Worldwide’s status as an international provider of exhibition and event auditing services has been underlined by its acceptance as a sister association to UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry.
Event auditing is a pre-requisite of the UFI Approval programme for international exhibitions. BPA’s associate membership to UFI will serve the trade show industry, enabling existing or prospective UFI members to have their event audited by an expert auditor of media to a rigorous, internationally-accepted standard.
“BPA’s associate membership of UFI will provide show organisers operating events in international locations with ready access to experienced international event auditing services,“ explains BPA Worldwide President and CEO Glenn Hansen. “In addition to becoming UFI Approved, an accompanying BPA audit and resulting membership in BPA will further increase the accountability of the exhibition by providing a powerful marketing tool for use in the promotion of events to exhibitors, sponsors and advertising/communications agencies.“
As the only auditor of media global in scope, BPA is able to offer its audit services from facilities on four continents. Presently BPA’s multi-lingual audit staff provide media audit services to over 2500 media properties in more than 25 countries. That it is expanding its services into the events market is a sign of the rising importance of international live media as part of the marketing mix.
Its proposition in the exhibition sector in the US and UK is based on combined audit and research. This marries attendance data with an attendance survey that provides event organisers with independently certified visitor numbers and demographic information as well as information on attendee buying power, audience activity and satisfaction data.
The combination of comprehensive attendee research and audited attendee profile data provides a third-party performance benchmark of the value of an event. The report can be used by organisers, becoming members of BPA by virtue of having a show audited, as a powerful consulting tool to guide clients in making insightful strategic show selection and investment decisions, plan more effectively by identifying key market segments in attendance, provide a quantifiable basis for exhibitors to objectively and confidently measure their ROI, and identify opportunities for performance improvement by attracting more of their key targets.
Ends.
