Financial Services Firms Consider Complaints MI a Priority at Forum

[ClickPress, Wed Aug 08 2007] The first meeting of the Complaints Handling Special Interest Group will be held on 24 September, with complaints MI at the top of the agenda.
Complaints to financial services firms have increased steadily in recent years, due to high profile issues such as unfair bank charges and mis-selling scandals. Other issues that will be debated at the meeting include incentive schemes and evidencing to the FSA and the FOS.
This new special interest group has been set up by the Financial Services Discussion Club in response to interest from members in a regular forum. Senior complaints and customer relationship managers will meet to discuss current complaints handling issues, exchange ideas and benchmark against peers.
Richard Walbach from Clearconcepts, which administers the Financial Services Discussion Club said,
"Complaints handling is high on the FSA’s agenda at the moment, and is seen by the regulator as an important component within the Treating Customers Fairly initiative. This group will prove a useful medium for companies to exchange ideas and benchmark in a changing regulatory climate."
