Make a statement with Better Bathrooms’ cast stone luxury basins

Better Bathrooms has launched a new range of six solid cast stone basins, to complement the beautiful freestanding baths which arrived earlier this week.

The basins are design heavyweights in both senses of the word: they weigh in at up to 60 kilos, and they are style epitomised! If you’ve been looking at wash basins for a while and still haven’t found what you’re looking for, one of these beautiful pieces may fit the bill.

Two of the basins, Napoli and Cho, are a modern take on the traditional pedestal basin. Cho, a tall cube with rounded off edges that soars majestically from the floor, designed for use with floor standing or wall mounted taps, and its pre-fitted, coordinated waste is almost invisible when closed. Napoli spirals up and outwards from the floor, its smooth sides curving into a pleasingly rounded basin that’s both wide and deep. This basin is the heaviest of the range, and is again designed for use with freestanding or wall mounted taps.

Flutura is a countertop basin and the baby of the bunch, weighing a ‘mere’ eight kilos. A slim, rectangular design, with surprising curves, it has an integral ‘carrying handle’ feature on each side. This basin is supplied without tap holes and is designed for use with an extended freestanding or wall mounted tap.

Three of the range are designed to be wall mounted ‘floating shelf’ style. Each one has a pre-drilled single tap hole. Aponi’s oval basin rises out of a rectangular wall mounted base and its single tap sits to the rear right of the basin. Via’s rectangular basin is raised from a larger rectangular base, with its tap mounted at the rear centre of the basin; like Cho, it includes a coordinated waste. And finally, Allana’s basin area is carved directly out of its rectangular base: a single, smooth sweep down to the central waste slot, which runs front to back, then back up on the other side. The single tap is to the rear centre of the piece.

All six of these brand new basins are made from high quality solid cast stone and finished in a contemporary glossy white.
