Nationwide Document Destruction Company Expands to 55 Locations

IPSA sees 69% growth in its first five months.

[ClickPress, Mon Mar 14 2005] Chicago, IL, March 14, 2004 –Information Protection Solutions of America (IPSA), formed in October by 26 document destruction companies, has grown to 44 member companies representing 55 locations throughout the United States. IPSA helps U.S. corporations to protect against fraudulent use of information and to comply with new laws dealing with consumer identity theft, corporate espionage and sabotage in the workplace.

IPSA is the largest AAA NAID certified document destruction company in the United States. The AAA certification is given by NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) to members that have met rigorous requirements and uphold stringent document destruction and security standards.

The Federal Trade Commission estimates that in 2003, more than 10 million people were victims of identity theft. On average, each identity theft victim spends $1,400 and up to six months to clear their names and correct their credit histories. Corporations are victimized, too: in lost employee productivity, fraudulent charges and theft of competitive secrets.
