The show is the first of its kind in the West of England and has been established in response to the UK government’s call for a reduction in carbon emissions. The 2011 Environmental Trade Show’s sponsors include Britannia Construction, the Bristol City Council and Environmental Technologies iNet.

Over 200 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors are expected to attend this event and as well as trade stands and displays visitors will have the opportunity to attend workshops and a conference where they will be able to hear the latest news about innovations in carbon emission reduction technologies.

Demonstrations at the Environmental Trade Show will include a demonstration of Gen-eco’s Bio-bug, which is a VW Beetle that runs on energy generated from human waste, and Ecotricity’s Nemesis, which is a UK super-car that runs on power generated by wind turbine. The makers of Nemesis claim that this super-car can actually move faster than a Ferrari V12, which would make it one of the fastest cars in the world.

Bristol is a busy and vibrant city and visitors planning to attend the 2011 Bristol Environmental Trade Show should try to book accommodation in one of the many Bristol City Centre hotels early in order to avoid disappointment.
