Former British hurdles champion, Colin Jackson presented the winners with golden envelopes containing an invitation to the UK ceremony in London in December. In congratulating them he made an analogy to sporting success with business success and said: “It was a privilege to present the winners with their awards. Just as in sport you can’t get anywhere without training, these winners have shown that training is essential to getting ahead in business and in turning personal ambitions into reality.
Elaine Johnson, managing director of The Assessment Network said: “I would like to congratulate all the winners. Their achievements highlight the importance of tailoring training and personal development to the business needs of the organisation. They also demonstrate that targeted development really can increase an organisation’s productivity, improve customer satisfaction and help them achieve goals which will have a direct impact on their bottom line.”
Jane Nelson, managing director of award winning Kier Building Maintenance (South) commented: “As an IiP employer, we’ve been able to use the Standard to help us refine our training and make continuous improvements to it. Winning a National Training Award is recognition that our scheme for bringing youngsters into construction works. We’ve always thought that learning should be hands on and fun, and external recognition like this vindicates the hard work that all our trainers put in to make it a success.”
The UK gala ceremony to celebrate National Training Award winners will be held on 13th December at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
