Winter Warmer Edinburgh 2011 is asking runners or walkers of all ages to take on either a 5km or 10km route in a bid to help the UK charity.
The event will be a great way for people to keep fit over the winter months when the cold weather often prevents people from venturing outside. Participants don’t have to be experienced runners to take part as the course can be walked or jogged if needed. The 5km circuit for example is perfect for walkers as it has great views of Edinburgh as people will be sent on a loop within Holyrood Park.
For runners the 10km route offers more of a challenge with some uphill climbs to tackle but competitors can be spurred on by the fact that they’ll be helping to support such a worthy charity. This will also be the second edition of the event and all runners from last year can take up the challenge again to try to beat their previous times.
For anyone using a hotel Edinburgh City Centre that wants to go and watch or take part, the run will take place on Sunday 30th October 2011 and there is a £10 entry fee.
