DirectRooms.com – Lille International Short Film Festival 2011 attracts thousands to Northern France

The event runs from October 18th to October 23rd and throughout the 6 day festival fans of short films can look forward to enjoying the very best in European and French short films. Film-makers are invited to submit their short film entries into the festival's competition - there is a judging panel in place which awards 'Palmes' to winners, similar to those handed out at the more famous Cannes Film Festival each year.

The deadline for submitting short for entries for judging has now expired, and the categories which are to be judged include Best Fiction, Best Animation, Best New Images, Best Documentary and Best Music Video. All entries are limited to a duration of 30 minutes.

The 11th Lille International Short Film Festival will be held at Les Rencontres Audiovisuelles in downtown Lille, and hotel room comparison website DirectRooms.com advises that the event will see the choice of hotel Lille city centre has available be more limited than usual.
