Car hire price comparison site Carrentals.co.uk takes first step into Europe

Carrentals.de will compare the best car hire prices from over 40 brokers and suppliers, including Sixt, Opodo and EasyCar – providing German consumers with the widest choice of cars and prices within a single website.

Carrentals.co.uk is already one of the leading car hire sites in the UK, and since its switch to a comparison site in February this year the company has seen a three-fold increase in bookings, underlining the demand for a fair comparison service that offers broader choice.

The company now hopes to reflect this success in Europe, with Germany selected as the first overseas market for the European roll-out.

Visitors to the Carrentals.co.uk and Carrentals.de sites can compare the best deals in over 4,000 locations around the World searching by car type, with search results shown in price order, together with details of the company providing it. They can then go straight to the supplier’s site, which retains the rental location and dates, and read more about the hire options and conditions before booking.

Since its launch in 2003 Carrentals.co.uk has grown to become one of the leading online car hire websites. In 2006 it booked its 100,000th customer and turnover reached £8million.
