Filter Worldwide, developers of the popular BlueCasting proximity marketing system, announced today that WiFi access has been added across the BlueCasting range.
[ClickPress, Tue Nov 27 2007] Filter Worldwide announced today that WiFi access has been added as an option across the entire BlueCasting range, allowing proximity marketing content to be delivered to popular WiFi-based portable devices - such as iPhone and PSP - as well as to any Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone or PDA.
BlueCast-WiFi can be added as an option to any of the BlueCasting server range and is incorporated into the easy to use BlueCasting Campaign Management System, allowing easy campaign management via a simple web-based interface.
The BlueCasting Server range currently comprises of BlueCast-Express [designed for rapid deployment to low volume locations such as bus stops, telephone kiosks and plasma screen networks], BlueCast-Event [tailored for music festivals, trade shows or other temporary campaigns] and BlueCast-Extreme [optimised for covering large areas such as sports stadiums, airports and expo venues].
Alasdair Scott, Chief Creative Officer at Filter Worldwide said "BlueCast-WiFi can easily be added as an option to any of our BlueCasting range, providing a rich interactive experience at no cost to the consumer and augmenting our already popular Bluetooth-based solutions".
Scott continued "We've received a warm reception for BlueCast WiFi from users with Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch products, as well as consumers with PlayStation Portable. These new classes of portable devices with built-in WiFi allow consumers to access BlueCasting content for free, at broadband speeds, which providers marketeers with an added level of engagement".
The popular BlueCasting proximity marketing system has been used around the world by leading brands such as Apple Inc, British Airways, BMW, ColdPlay, BBC Television and Pepsi.
