Lou Jurkowski, chief executive officer of BJAC, P.A., (www.bjac.com) one of the largest woman-owned architectural design firms in the Southeast, has announced that Amanda Holloway, interior designer, has become a LEED accredited professional. Holloway coordinates interior design issues within architectural projects in addition to interior design projects, as well as the selection and documentation of finishes, millwork and furniture. She joined BJAC in 2006.

Holloway received her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., where she was a student member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). Holloway has been certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional (AP) by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), which means she has demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and a familiarity with LEED requirements, resources and processes. LEED is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.
