[ClickPress, Wed Dec 05 2007] The ‘Online Bingo Oscars’, run by WhichBingo, reward excellence in online bingo by allowing players to vote for their favourite sites.

The search for the Online Bingo Site of the Year is underway after WhichBingo.com (http://www.whichbingo.com) launched the fifth annual ‘Online Bingo Oscars’ awards.

In addition, the second annual ‘UK Online Bingo Site of the Year’ award has been launched to run in tandem at WhichBingo.co.uk (http://www.whichbingo.co.uk), along with the inaugural ‘UK New Online Bingo Site of the Year’ award. These awards focus on the fast-growing UK online bingo market.

The prestigious Which Bingo awards celebrate and reward excellence in online bingo by allowing players to vote for their favourite sites. The awards are designed to reflect the quality, excitement and entertainment value of online bingo sites' offerings.

The 'Site of the Year' award (http://www.whichbingo.com/online-bingo-site-of-the-year/) is open to all 'pay-to-play' sites, regardless of software provider. The UK Online Bingo Site of the Year’ award (http://www.whichbingo.co.uk/online-bingo-site-of-the-year/) is open to any site that offers bingo in GB sterling and the 'UK New Site of the Year' award is open to any UK online bingo site that launched during 2007.

The polls are open until December 31st 2007 and the sites with the most votes in each category at the end of the month will be awarded the respective titles.

In 2006, iBingo claimed the top honour on WhichBingo.com (http://www.whichbingo.com/online-bingo-site-of-the-year/results2006/), while Mecca Bingo took the WhichBingo UK title (see http://www.whichbingo.co.uk/online-bingo-site-of-the-year/results2006/), and bingo sites all over the world have already begun campaigning to their players for votes in this year’s awards.

Phil Fraser, owner of WhichBingo and widely recognised as the sector’s leading expert, said: “We want to praise and celebrate those sites that consistently deliver enjoyment and satisfaction to their players.

“There are some really great bingo sites out there doing a fantastic job. Once a year, bingo players have a forum to register their appreciation of the fun and enjoyment these sites supply. We are very excited about these awards, particularly the UK one.”

The announcement of the 2007 winning sites will be made in January 2008.
