Well known musician turned author to donate part of proceeds from new book on the music business to children's charities.

The book, entitled "You've Got A Friend In The 'Biz" is written in a down to earth, speaking manner recounting tales of Mr. Wood's first visit to Los Angeles, getting signed, to now voting on the 50th anniversary of the Grammy Awards. The guide introduces the reader to people that can get their music in film and television, the world of royalties, video games, online promotion and more.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of the book will be going to support children's charities. "People always say - I wish I was a rock star or a movie star when there are kids out there with far bigger wishes, in some cases wanting to live, which are obviously far greater than just wanting to be a star" says Mr. Wood.
