Difficult year ahead according to national Homebuyers
Many Britons may face financial difficulties in the next 12 months as a number of negative economic factors combine.
[ClickPress, Thu Jan 10 2008] According to Alliance Trust, the global credit squeeze is set to have a huge impact on our personal finances, potentially leading to many people fighting to avoid repossession.
In addition, the firm is concerned by a potential housing market slowdown, something which already appears to be in progress, with Nationwide reporting that house prices fell by 0.5 per cent in December.
Shona Dobbie form Alliance Trust said that a rise in unemployment could make the housing crisis even worse, causing financial difficulties for many.
"With this difficult combination of pressures facing us in 2008, we expect weaker levels of consumer confidence and spending to slow economic growth to 1-1.5 per cent next year, around half this year's level. We will be looking particularly closely at employment levels," she commented.
Fast cash for homes property expert Julian King adds, "People in or predicting to find themselves in financial difficulty should act quickly to avoid repossession.
"We assist hundreds of customers to avoid repossession each year. Many of whom face the prospect of losing their property because they simply do not act quickly enough, or just hope that the problem will go away".
