Finishing up a comprehensive five-month, multi-million-dollar renovation, the Doubletree Hotel Executive Meeting Center Berkeley Marina will be launching a fresh, contemporary look in March 2008.

Finishing up a comprehensive five-month, multi-million-dollar renovation, the Doubletree Hotel Executive Meeting Center Berkeley Marina will be launching a fresh, contemporary look in March 2008.

Breaking ground last November, the hotel’s renovation has focused on nearly all aspects of the property, including the 378 guest rooms and baths, lobby and guest reception areas, the Bay Grille restaurant, and the recreational areas, including the pool and fitness center.

The guest rooms will be taking on a contemporary, serene atmosphere, featuring new modern furnishings, flat screen televisions and the Sweet Dreams® by Doubletree Sleep Experience, the new standard for an incredible night’s sleep. Sweet Dreams® is tailored for travelers seeking the same comfort and relaxation they experience at home – and offers a custom-designed, plush-top mattress, luxurious linens and oversized down pillows.

The lobby and guest reception areas of the Doubletree Hotel Executive Meeting Center Berkeley Marina are undergoing a transformation into a modern, welcoming space. The traditional front desk will be transformed into innovative registration pods, each, conveying a clean, simple design specifically intended to offer a more personal check-in process.

Echoing the fresh, modern touches that will be featured throughout the hotel, the Bay Grille restaurant will be revitalized with palettes of deep reds and warm gold tones. In addition to the enhancements of color, comfort and décor, particular attention will be taken to feature the stunning views of the Marina and the Golden Gate Bridge.

To ensure guests can stay on track with their workout routines while away from home, the Doubletree Hotel Executive Meeting Center Berkeley Marina is creating a state-of-the-art fitness center. To offer guests a true gym experience, the hotel has installed high-end PreCor equipment including treadmills, elliptical trainers and stationary bicycles – each with personal LCD viewing screens and complimentary adjustable headsets. Rounding out the center will be new weightlifting equipment, exercise balls and yoga mats.
