NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – Howard Reed was at the end of his rope, he says, until he saw an advertisement by JK Harris, the nation’s largest and most successful tax representation firm.

A native of Partales, N.M., Reed said after several failed attempts by his CPA to resolve his more than $10,000 debt with the IRS, he turned matters over to JK Harris in hopes of lifting the burden of IRS enforcement, including a levy of his Social Security wages.

"You can’t imagine what a relief it was when JK Harris called me and said they had taken care of my debt," Reed said. "I didn’t know where else to turn. I wish everyone who has a problem with the IRS can find out about JK Harris."

Reed said he met with a JK Harris consultant in the nearby town of Amarillo, Texas. He said he liked what he heard in the meeting and decided to entrust his problems to the company’s professionals.

JK Harris then went to work right away. First, Reed provided the necessary information for a case specialist with JK Harris to compile the information needed in a financial disclosure package to prove his case. Having signed a Power of Attorney form when he met with a consultant, JK Harris CPA Frank Heberer was armed and ready to take on the IRS for Reed.

Heberer then called the IRS and got the levy released. In addition, JK Harris got his tax debt put into a Status 53 – "currently not collectible".

"I want to thank the JK Harris staff again for what a wonderful job they did for me," Reed said. "I can’t express my gratitude enough to them."

According to the IRS, taxpayer accounts may be reported currently not collectible (CNC) if a hardship exists. JK Harris was able to make the case that Reed was unable to pay the debt at the present time based on a disclosure of his financial situation. According to IRS regulations, the case will be tracked until the statute of limitations expires or Reed becomes able to pay the taxes.
