WinLims Rental solution helps Corkwise to enhance customer service

The UK's only independent specialist wine laboratory, Corkwise, has turned to QSI’s WinLims Rental solution for contract laboratories to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of its laboratory information management procedures in a drive to further improve and develop the organization’s contract laboratory’s customer service.

[ClickPress, Tue Mar 11 2008] The UK's only independent specialist wine laboratory, Corkwise, has turned to QSI’s WinLims Rental solution for contract laboratories to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of its laboratory information management procedures in a drive to further improve and develop the organization’s contract laboratory’s customer service.

Corkwise’s laboratory based in Nutfield, Surrey, provides customers with detailed laboratory analysis, full technical and quality audits, shelf life assessment, fault identification, recommendations, and more. Corkwise’s customers include major supermarkets, suppliers to supermarkets, wine importers, UK and international wine producers and distillers.

“The new LIMS rental software went live in January 2008 and in terms of the laboratory’s sample booking system it looks like it has already further improved our efficiency in this area ,” commented Monica Blanco, Corkwise’s Laboratory Manager.

QSI’s WinLims Rental is a new approach to owning a LIMS. WinLims Rental allows an organization to use a full LIMS for a low monthly fee, with a low up-front cost. WinLims Rental is identical to QSI’s full WinLims system, and comes bundled with an installation program and tutorials to get users up and running as quickly and easily as possible. The rental agreements can be converted to a subscription contract or full purchase at any time, keeping an organization’s options open.
“Prior to implementing QSI’s WinLims Rental software we used to run all the booking in of samples manually,” explained Blanco. “We invested in the new WinLims software because it provided us with a very adaptable system that would enable us to have a more easily managed audit trail.”

“We have also found the software’s report format is really good and we’ve received some good feedback from customers. The LIMS reporting system is very flexible.”
