Park Inn Sheremetyevo awarded Green Key eco-label

Rezidor Hotel Group is pleased to announce that Park Inn Sheremetyevo has received the Green Key eco-label, becoming the very first recipient in Moscow and the 7th hotel in Russia to achieve the certification.

The hotel team at the Moscow airport hotel has done outstanding work in achieving the highest results from all the hotels audited in Russia. To certify for the eco-label, the hotel established a committee from mixed departments to ensure all criteria were fulfilled. The committee held a week of presentations in a meeting room for guests and staff to come in and discuss environmental issues. The feedback of this exchange is now integrated in the hotel's Responsible Business action plan going forward.

"Green Key helps to create environmental awareness with the staff and make them true Responsible Business ambassadors in their interaction with the guests," said Gerard Kelly, General Manager. "The Green Key connects with our company-wide Responsible Business program and speaks to the eco-conscious travelers. Being the first hotel in Moscow to receive the Green Key is definitely a bonus for us."

Environment protection is the one of the basic principles of the Rezidor Hotel Group. In 2011, the hotel group became one of the leading hotel business companies that worked out a huge program concerning social responsibility and ecology. In 2012, for the third time, the Rezidor Hotel Group maintained its status as one of Most Ethical Companies in the World, an award given by American investigative centre, the Ethisphere Institute. Park Inn by Radisson Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport hotel became the 7th hotel of the Rezidor Hotel Group to receive the Green Key Certificate. Previously, this Certificate was given to Radisson Kaliningrad, Radisson Royal Saint-Petersburg, Radisson Sonya Saint-Petersburg, Park Inn by Radisson Pribaltiyskiy, Park Inn by Radisson Nevskiy and Park Inn by Radisson Pulkovskaya.

To date, 180 Rezidor hotels (or 55%) are eco-labeled. Rezidor aims to have all hotels eco-certified by 2015.
