Local author K.D. Richardson and Black Rose Writing are pleased to announce the February 20, 2014 release date of The Reawakening. This is Mr. Richardson’s first title with Black Rose Writing out of Castroville, Texas, and his seventh published title overall. Additional works by Mr. Richardson include Reflections of Pearl Harbor (Praeger), The Second Season and A Different Drummer (Vanilla Heart Publishing), A Union of Souls (The Fiction Works), and Spirit of the Season (Fort Hamilton).

A native of Hamilton, Ohio and a graduate of Miami University (OH), Mr. Richardson has been a writer since 1996 and is a charter member of the Hamilton Writers Guild. In the past ten years, Richardson has branched off into screen writing and is currently working on his eighth screenplay. He is also a sports photographer and columnist for the Venice Cornerstone newspaper.

The Reawakening evolved from a screenplay Mr. Richardson wrote back in 2012. The story involves a man named Herman Tate; an elderly gentleman who has everything a person needs in life except spiritual serenity. He has developed what some might term ‘a bitter heart.’ As a result, he has it all, but he actually has nothing. Following one of his many rounds of golf, Herman collapses and suffers a mild stroke. Upon his recovery, he insists that his name is Jim Goldman, not Herman Tate, and despite evidence to the contrary, ‘Jim’ claims he can prove his contention if given the opportunity. His only chance to escape the clutches of his mean-spirited family would have to be with the assistance of his son-in-law, Paul, a man Herman Tate despised.

The Reawakening is available as a paperback and e-book through Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, from the publisher at www.blackrosewriting.com, and as an autographed paperback through the author at www.kdrichardson.com.
