About John Riddle:
John Riddle is a professor emeritus at North Carolina State University (NCSU). He was the head of the History Department at NCSU and is a well-acclaimed historian of the Middle Ages and medical history. During Riddle’s teaching career at NCSU, he was a member of the Academy of Outstanding Teachers and was recognized as an Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor. He has written over a dozen historical books and articles, some of which include: "Eve’s Herbs: A History of Conception and Abortion in the West", "Quid Pro Quo: Studies in the History of Drugs", and "Dioscorides on Pharmacy and Medicine."
