FERRARI’s BATYLINE SK® 300 silicone membranes brighten it all up
FERRARI of France, a specialist in textile solutions, has developed a new generation of glass/silicone membranes for interior applications – BATYLINE SK® 300. This membrane adapts perfectly to extreme temperatures from -50°C to +180ºC. Silicon is exceptionally resistant to UV and humidity, and the membrane has a guaranteed lifespan of about 30 years. BATYLINE SK®300 was used at Barajas airport in Madrid, where it provides the terminals with abundant daylight.
[ClickPress, Fri Dec 16 2005] FERRARI of France, a specialist in textile solutions, has developed a new generation of glass/silicone membranes for interior applications – BATYLINE SK® 300.
BATYLINE SK®300 is used in areas which need very strong light (50% translucency) and fire-protection classification of type M0 or EUROCLASS A2 s1 d0. It has multiple interior applications. It can be used in textile architecture, giving optimised luminosity for greater visual comfort. It also improves heat insulation and reinforces sound absorption. BATYLINE SK®300 works as a light diffuser, blending perfectly with glass architecture. It can also be used for partitioning, to identify areas, enhance the conceptual organisation of a site or to bring life to large spaces.
BATYLINE SK®300 can be used for tensioned ceilings, adding a decorative element while also enhancing technical insulation and sound comfort. For the ceilings of industrial buildings, the textiles use natural light, as recommended in many high-tech sectors. The non-combustibility of the membrane provides fire safety for warehouses, in conformity with regulation T 30-1. BATYLINE SK®300 can also be used for double-sided projection screens – the texture and translucency of the textiles ensure good image definition on both sides (from a single source of projection).
