Industry Prospects

Constant retail value sales of hotels are expected to grow by a CAGR of 2% while the number of hotel outlets will decline by a CAGR of 1%. Other travel accommodation is expected to suffer a constant retail value decline at a CAGR of 2% and the number of other travel accommodation outlets is expected to decline by a negligible CAGR. The decline in the sales revenue of other accommodation outlets will darken the growth prospects of hotels, as the preference of tourists, especially inbound tourists, is clearly shifting away from other accommodation types to 4-5 star hotels, as they offer a higher standard quality of services.
