While Oman has made impressive gains in oil production in recent years, the country's production levels will reach its peak in 2016. In the event that thaw in Iran-US relations continues, which may very well get a boost by the coming July deadline in the Iran-West nuclear negotiations, Oman's strategic location on the southern end of the Persian Gulf can facilitate re-exports into the Arabian Peninsula, with possible ramifications for LNG.
