Shudokan Ryu is hosting Master Chris Garland, Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido at USC for martial arts seminar

Master Chris Garland, Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido will be conducting aMartial Arts seminar focusing on defensive tactics, arrest and control techniques, as well as traditional martial art weapons at USC January 14, 2006

[ClickPress, Sat Dec 24 2005] Master Chris Garland, Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido; is planning another trip to Los Angeles in January 2006. Chris Garland was really impressed with the quality of students at USC’s last seminar in June 2005, and comments on it frequently.

Last week Chris asked if USC would like host another seminar while he is in the LA area in January, and on behalf of the Shudokan Ryu, Taiho Jutsu School we accepted.

Master Chris Garland recently returned from the Middle East where he was embedded with Special Operations as a government contractor. Chris was training Special Op’s military members in hand-to-hand combat as well as other classified duties. Master Garland continues to conducts seminars US Special Op’s personal, Police, Sheriff and Federal agencies regularly.

Recently, Master Garland opened his seminars up to traditional martial artist without a military or police back ground, this is truly a great opportunity for traditional martial artist to see the combat applications of martial arts. It is not often you actually get to training with a master that walks the walk.

This seminar will focus on defensive tactics, arrest and control techniques, as well as traditional martial art weapons; attendees are encouraged to bring their own weapons to the seminar.
