Seeing Red Wine Festival Celebrates 25 Years

The Seaside Seeing Red Wine Festival has grown into a four day affair attracting wine enthusiasts from all around. The event has been recognized in the "Top 10 Can’t-Miss Fall Wine Festivals" by Fodor’s Travel.

On Thursday, November 5th, at 7:00pm, Bud & Alleys will host the Vintner’s Dinner. Popular to watch the sunset at the rooftop bar overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, Bud & Alleys restaurant has been a Seaside favorite since 1987. Executive Chef David Bishop will prepare a special menu along with the featured vintner for the event.

On Friday, November 6th, at 6:00pm, The Town of Seaside will host the Al Fresco Reserve Tasting. A broad selection of library wines will be showcased and paired with hors d’ oeuvres compliments of Chef Jim Shirley. The evening will include live jazz music under a lighted clear-topped tent on Seaside’s Lyceum Lawn.

On Saturday, November 7th, at 1:00pm, The Grand Tasting will take place at Seaside’s Central Square. This is the main event of the Seeing Red Wine Festival and features more than 250 wines for tasting. Highly sought after wines from around the world will be available to taste and purchase. Small plates from South Walton’s local restaurants will be available along with live music throughout the afternoon. Access to the VIP tent for a private tasting of rare wines will open at 11:30am to VIP ticket holders.

On Sunday, November 8th, at 10:00am, Great Southern Café will host The Celebration of Bubbles Brunch Event. This four day event will conclude with a wine brunch featuring sparkling wines, Champagne, Cava and Prosecco. Live music will be included at this Seaside restaurant wine event.

Proceeds from the Seeing Red Wine Festival will be presented to the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, which supports 14 local non-profits, serving children in need in Northwest Florida. In April of 2015, the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation’s signature event raised $2.3 million for children in need. It is ranked among the top 5 charity wine auctions in the country by Wine Spectator.
