Daisena, an importer and distributor of well-known tea and coffee brands, was the leading player in tea in 2015 with an overall retail value share of 16%. 2015 saw the company’s Loyd brand overtake Lipton for the first time to become the leading tea brand in Lithuania. Loyd is available in a wide range of flavours and varieties, including pyramid tea bags, which proved increasingly popularity among Lithuanians in 2015. It also benefits from strong marketing and advertising support, which helps to maintain high brand awareness and strengthen brand loyalty among consumers. Moreover, Loyd tea products are widely distributed across Lithuania, and tend to occupy a large share of space on tea shelves in retail outlets. Daisena also offers Akbar, a brand that is popular among drinkers of black tea. However, due to weak promotional support Akbar’s overall retail current value sales in tea declined in 2015.
