Coral bookmakers offer’s new year bets on sport events for 2006


Leading bookmaker, Coral (http://www.coral.co.uk), today unveiled a list of special bets for 2006 on a variety of sporting events from the World Cup to the Ryder Cup, allowing punters to bet on their New Year sporting predictions


[ClickPress, Fri Dec 30 2005] England are 11-2 second favourites to win the 2006 World Cup and manager Sven Goran Erikkson is 8-1 with Coral to receive an honorary knighthood at the end of the year. However, Sven is just 5-6 to no longer be in the England job in twelve months time. Coral is also offering 1000-1 against a repeat of 1966 with England beating Germany 4 v 2 in the 2006 World Cup final.

In domestic football Roy Keane is 1-3 to be sent off for Celtic in 2006 and David Beckham is 5-1 to return to the Premiership.

In Golf Tiger Woods is 50-1 to win all four majors in 2006 while Colin Montgomerie is 14-1 just to win any of them. In Tennis Andrew Murray is 28-1 to win Wimbledon but just 4-7 to end 2006 as Britain's top ranked player. In Cricket, England are 16-1 to remain unbeaten in all Tests in 2006 and in Snooker, Ronnie O'Sullivan is just 2-1 to win the World Championship.

Finally in horse racing. Frankie Dettori is just 6-1 to finally win his first Derby in 2006 while Coral offer 5-1 that Royal Ascot does not take place at Ascot in 2006.
