TopLevelDomainicons -- Changing The Look Of How Business Looks On The World Wide Web.
[ClickPress, Mon Jan 02 2006] TopLevelDomainicons, the source for top level domain icons representing .com .org and .net, has released new pricing effective January 01 2006. Commonly known as “tildicons”, these icons also represent .info .aero .edu and .museum well as the other domains.
A significant savings from 2005 pricing, the adjustment eliminates the previous tiered price structure and sets the price at it's lowest tier of $ 9.95. This price is near to the cost of discount domain registrations as well as hosting services and allows website operators to easily afford the advantages of a top level domain icon.
Purchase of a top level domain icon is now:
Registration, ($9.95), and Annual License, ($9.95).
APPLICATION OF TLDicon
This applies to any individual, business, organization, association, co-operative, or education provider with :
A website, stationary, interior signs, advertising and promotional materials, exterior building signs, company identified vehicles, labels, packaging, products.
No restrictions on use.
A company can only use the top level domain icon in the presence of the single name, logo, or brand it is licensed to, so, some businesses may need to have several separate licenses to cover several brands products or logos.
Download includes:
License for Top Level Domain icon.
.Domain TLDicon in Adobe Illustrator, (.ai) and Jpeg, (.jpg) images.
.Domain Tldtone as a MIDI Sequence (.mid) and sheet music.
Colored favicon sized .Domain TLDicon with website insertion code and setup instructions.
Updates as required.
These icons are licensed as basic wire-frames void of any color or graphics. They consist of a dominant circle representing the word “Dot” and an identifier representing a domain. For example: The identifier for .com is a stylized C, .pro is a tie, and .biz is a briefcase. All have significant interior space to allow for inclusion of graphics, logo’s, company identifiable colors and text.
Top level domain icons are customizable. They are resizable, and can be used in as small an application as encircling the R for Registered Trademark beside a logo, or made as large as a client wants. They may be altered in proportion to be larger or smaller than the original, and, altered in respect to colors, elements or fill. The basic wire-frame does not have to be used as is, but can be replaced with custom graphics.

Creative latitude is so wide with these icons that they can be radically altered, and even morphed into an existing or new logo. The important thing is to retain the general shape and look of it once it is customized, so it is distinguishable as a Top level domain icon and retains its usefulness as a domain identifier.
The top level domain icon with this Release ( if illustrated ) is an example of a custom .com TLDicon.
Created by MetaCryL.com, a Product Concept and Development firm, and released in January of 2005, top level domain icons are the only way to show the presence of a website with an icon - without using the text www. and .com around a logo or name. They are icons for illustrating on-line presence in print form - such as on signs, stationary, business cards, advertising, products, as well as on web pages. They are customizable to fit any company’s logo or brand, and can be morphed onto logo's as well. To license the .biz top level domain icon, as well as the .pro .net .travel and .name icons, go to the TopLevelDomainicons site: http://www.topleveldomainicons.com/store.
