The Beach Towns of 30A have planned a weekend of events for the 4th of July holiday. On Saturday, July 2nd, in celebration of American Independence Day, The 20th edition of the annual Rags to Riches Regatta returns to Grayton Beach. This small catamaran race is a tradition among South Walton sailors, families and friends with a history dating back to 1981-1992. After a 17 year hiatus the race was re-introduced in 2009 with much success. Race registration begins at 8:00am at the Grayton Beach access behind Red Bar. Captains’ meeting will take place at 11:00am and the race will begin soon after.
On Sunday, July 3rd, an Independence Day celebration in Marina Park takes place with a bike parade, Carnival and annual Easy on 30A concert. From 10:00am to 2:00pm families can decorate bikes and join in a parade through the beach town of WaterColor. After the parade there will be a carnival in the park with activities for kids such as face painting, waterslides, dunk tanks and more. From 6:00-10:00pm the annual Easy on 30A Concert is presented featuring performances by local musicians. Admission to the parade, carnival and concert is free and open to the public.
On Monday, July 4th, Seaside will host its annual Independence Day parade along Scenic 30A. The parade will begin at Seagrove Plaza and end at Seaside where the "after parade party" will take place. Later that evening Seaside will hold its Stars & Stripes Celebration with Pensacola Symphony Orchestra Pops performance on the lawn. A fireworks show over the Gulf of Mexico will follow at 9:00pm.
Each individual beach town of 30A will host the events to celebrate Independence Day. 30a rentals are convenient places to stay allowing guests to walk, bike or drive to each location.
