92 Year Old Grandmother launches New Spirit Brand and gets a GOLD MEDAL - 92 POINT RATING PROVIDED BY BEVERAGE TESTING INSTITUTE 2017!

Oma’s Spirits was launched to bring Hedy Steinbart’s family recipe for natural, cherry infused spirit into the marketplace. The product pays homage to Oma’s Midwest roots as the grains for the spirit are grown in Michigan, the cherries are from Traverse City, Michigan and the product is handcrafted in Gurnee, Illinois.

Oma’s is a premium product backed by industry experts in the fast growing artisan spirits space. Oma’s is unique to the market in that it is infused with natural cherries. The infusion process creates a full mouthful of flavor with its added viscosity, lush mouth feel, and a deep ruby red color. Mixologists are particularly enthused about the product’s versatility as a cocktail ingredient, as well as a base vodka product served neat or in a standard recipe.

Hedy has teamed up with her grandson Kyle Miller in a multi-generational effort to keep the family recipe and tradition alive. Kyle reached out to Dave Perry of Accelerated Brands to guide them through the process of making the product and bringing it to market. Mr. Perry added the expertise of Robert Kutyla (Kutyla Design) and Walter Marcinowski (Walmar International, LLC.) to handle packaging design and marketing as well as Scott Bishop to navigate social media.. The product is being produced by Master Distiller, Gregory Feldman, at Premiere Distillery.

The test launch is set for the Illinois marketplace in April and Michigan in May.
