Jet Airways Chairman Naresh Goyal Re-Elected To IATA Board Of Governors
Jet Airways’ Chairman, Mr. Naresh Goyal was elected again to the Board of Governors of the airline Industry’s apex global body, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) at its 64th Annual General Meeting held in Istanbul, Turkey.
[ClickPress, Fri Jun 06 2008] Mr. Goyal has served on the Board of Governors of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) from 2004-2006. This is the second time that he has been elected to IATA’s prestigious Board of Governors. The IATA Board of Governors is IATA’s government. The members of the board exercise an oversight and executive role on behalf of the membership as a whole, in representing the interests of the Association.
As a Member of the 30-member Board, Mr. Goyal will serve a one-year term until the close of International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) 65th Annual General Meeting in Kuala Lumpur in June 2009.
IATA- the International Air Transport Association – works with its airline members and the air transport industry, as a whole to promote safe, reliable, secure and economical air travel for the benefit of the world’s consumers. IATA’s 230 member airlines comprise of 94% of all international traffic.

The airline plans to extend its international operations to other cities in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia in phases with the introduction of additional wide-body aircraft into its fleet.
